Hello Hello!

Thank you for checking out our blog! I hope that while you are here you find something to help you out in your crazy household (don't deny it, normal is boring after all...)

I am Anne and one half of this crazy blog 😎 I am not the cool one, but I shall use the sunglasses emoji anyway 😉

So... currently my house has 4 residents- 2 adults (if you consider my husband an adult... in my personal opinion that is up for debate), and 2 kiddos- a 3 and a 10 year old. 
I am a foster mum, so that number may change at any time. I will keep you updated if and when it does. 

Once upon a time I was chef... I spent 13 years of my life in kitchens at high end restaurants. It was a fun life, but it is a profession that tires your body and it is hard to have a family when you work crazy hours. I have now been at home painting and reviewing books for 2 1/2 years.

The problem with working in high end restaurants is that although I have more recipes than I know what to do with, almost all of them are far too complicated and take far too long to be done when trying to take care of kids. I have became a HUGE fun of easy and/or fast meals since kids entered our house.

The thing is... once you go looking online for recipes and crafts every darn site is full of adds and takes forever to get to the thing you want. Drives me crazy. 
So I asked the lovely Meg to go an adventure with me and start this blog. I can't wait to see where it takes us!

Easy Black Bean Soup(Megan)

This is it people, the one meal I constantly get asked the recipe for and my mom friends rave about! It’s super easy, filling, and healthy. And my youngsters love it! You’ll need:   3 cans of black beans with the liquid 16 Oz jar of salsa. We use chunky mild  1/2 cup cilantro  1 Tbsp of minced garlic 2 tsp of gound cumin Add it all to a pot and simmer on low-medium heat, covered, for 20 mins Top with cheddar cheese! We also add chopped onions, avocado and sometimes sour cream. Depending on what we have and what mood were in. This meal is so easy and a go to on the days where you want something real fast and filing. Enjoy!

Chicken pot pie casserole(Megan)

This is an easy chicken pot pie casserole! And it smells heavenly 🤤 You’ll need: 3 cups shredded chicken (if you want to be lazy like me, I just buy a rotisserie chicken and pull the meat off that instead of cooking chicken)                          2 10.5 OZ cans cream of chicken soup                         3 cups frozen vegetables ( I do carrots and peas)                         2 tsp minced garlic                         1/3 tsp black pepper                         1 cup shredded cheddar                         1 cup shredded mozzarella                     ...
